Michael Heady Lcpc’s Expertise I have been in the mental health field for 18-years. I began as a rehabilitation counselor for a psychiatric day program. I provided services for those with bipolar, schizophrenia, and other severe psychiatric disorders. I also have one year of supervised training in substance abuse treatment for adolescent and adult populations in both group and individual settings. I completed a year long training in the assessment and treatment of OCD, anxiety disorders and mood disorders at the Anxiety and Stress Disorders Institute of MD (ASDI). Following the training, I was a clinical associate for 8-years, Assistant Director of Training, Associate Director, and now Co-Owner and Co-Director! I enjoy my clinical work and also enjoy teaching. I was on the faculty at McDaniel College as an adjunct professor for 9-years. I now provide clinical workshops and trainings on the assessment and treatment of anxiety and OCD.
